Why 9/10 Real Estate Agents Quit After Five Years

The harsh reality of today's real estate industry is that 9/10 real estate agents don't make it past 5 years.  This is for a variety of reasons, but mainly, they did not achieve the success they were hoping and instead chose a different profession.  But is real estate really that hard that only 10% of all agents make it past 5 years?  Is it really the real estate agent's fault if only 1/10 agents have success while the rest find new jobs?  Why are real estate brokerages never held accountable for their agent's overall lack of success if their track record is that bad?

The truth is, that while the real estate profession can be challenging and stressful at times, it also can be very rewarding and offer the flexibility and financial freedom that few other professions can offer.  The reality is, it's not an impossible profession to master, as long as you're in the right situation and have the proper support system in place.  But if the agent is not in the right situation, it doesn't matter how smart, hard working, or determined they are, their chances of success are still very low.  But it doesn't have to be like that!
